There’s a lot more to protecting our environment than nature reserves and beach cleanups. Environmentally Sensitive Areas (ESAs) are a complex network of water channels, passages, catchments and patches of land that work hard behind the scenes to maintain our environment.
The Ministry of Environment, together with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Sri Lanka, is spearheading a new national policy to conserve and manage these ESAs. In this video, we explore their importance and the many benefits they bring.
