Leading up to Colomboscope’s ‘Shadow Scenes’ exhibition last month the #MyColombo hashtag was trending on Instagram. Local Instagrammers were asked to post a picture and caption that conveyed each individual’s unique perspective of the city. From the hundreds who picked up the hashtag, fifteen finalists to have their image on display at the exhibition held at the abandoned Rio Hotel in Pettah.
There were tons of really great entries under the #MyColombo hashtag, most of which went unnoticed after the exhibition ended. So we at Roar decided to pick our ten favourites (in no particular order) and share it with our followers.
Here are some images that we feel truly capture the essence of what it means to live in Colombo.
