Industrial Liaison Centre – OUSL and IEEE Student Branch of The Open University of Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka’s agriculture sector is ripe for disruption. Despite a third of the country’s labour force being employed in the industry, the sector’s contribution to the country’s GDP is only 7%, which means that efficiency is..um..pretty low. Which is why a dose of innovation would be most welcome, and the Open AgroHack aims to do just that. Organized by the Open University of Sri Lanka, University College of Anuradhapura and Nations Trust Bank’s Kaffeine Labs, this event is a place for aspiring disruptors in the Agriculture industry to show off their talents through a 24 hour hackathon.

And that’s all for February. We’ll be back next month with our next update!
