Colombo Metro Aims To Transform Sri Lanka into a Modern Metropolis

Colombo Light Railway is a rail based, electricity run project connecting Malabe to Fort. Construction is set to begin 2020 and conclude by 2024. This is a primary step in Sri Lanka’s modernisation from a middle income country to a upper middle income country.

In fact, the Light Rail Transit (LRT) project is a Japan funded project worth over $ 2 billion.
